THREE DISTINCT MODES
With the Lian Li V3000 Plus Full Tower PC Case, there are three distinct modes for setting up a gaming PC. These modes are called Standard, Rotated, and Dual-System, each offering exciting means of arranging your hardware for a variety of needs. What’s more, throughout the chassis, there is intelligent cable routing designed to support each of these configurations. Rubber grommets feed cables to the front, whilst Velcro straps hold everything in place.
Firstly, the Standard Mode utilises the traditional layout, with the motherboard mounted to the left and the GPU above the PSU shroud. This arrangement has the I/O facing the rear of the case and facilitates larger components, such as E-ATX motherboards and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs. What’s more, you can install a fully custom water loop with space for a D5 water pump, multiple radiators, and up to sixteen fans.
Next is the Rotated Mode, where the motherboard tray is rotated 90-degrees anticlockwise. This moves the I/O into the PSU chamber, with cable access through the rubber grommets. In this orientation, the GPU is positioned for optimal cooling, placed in the direct airflow from the fans. Full-sized GPUs can still be utilised in this layout, thanks to 358mm of clearance. To facilitate even more room, the PSU has been moved to the back of the case.
Finally, you can arrange the Lian Li V3000 Plus in the Dual System Mode. This enables you to install two systems in the same case. By moving the motherboard to a higher position, there is space to install a second Mini-ITX motherboard on top of the PSU chamber. To accommodate this second system, the V3000 Plus features dual controls and I/O at the front of the case. Alongside this, there is space within the PSU chamber for two power supplies, one a standard ATX and the other an SFX or SFX-L stacked on top.
Please note: Additional riser cables are required for Rotated and Dual System Modes.
AMAZING COOLING
The Lian Li V3000 Plus keeps your powerful components cool and operating at peak performance, thanks to its extensive support for cooling hardware and thermal features. The front and top are adorned with mesh panels, offering exceptional airflow and ventilation. To further bolster airflow, up to sixteen individual fans can be installed, depending on the selected mode. For example, Standard can host up to four 120mm or three 140mm fans on the front, top, and within the PSU shroud. An additional three of either size can be installed on top of the PSU chamber and a 120mm or 140mm fan on the rear. When arranged in Rotated or Dual System modes, the PSU chamber and rear number of fans are reduced to accommodate the varied layouts.
For water-cooling enthusiasts, there are multiple locations to install radiators for the three configurations. Each mode can support up to four radiators, depending on what hardware is installed. The top and front panels have mounts for 480mm or 420mm radiators, regardless of how you arrange the chassis. The PSU shroud hosts a radiator of the same size, but with the Dual System mode this is only possible if the second system does not utilise a GPU. The fourth radiator can be up to 360mm or 420mm in the Standard and Rotated modes, mounted on the main chamber base or rear panel respectively. In Dual System Mode, there is space for a 240mm or 280mm radiator on the lefthand side of the main chamber base.
Furthermore, the Lian Li V3000 Plus is an ideal chassis for a custom water loop. There are two locations for installing powerful D5 or DDC water pumps. The first is above the PSU shroud, which allows for a pump with a reservoir up to 275mm in height to be installed. Whereas, if you remove the drive cage from inside the shroud, there is space for a 345mm combo pump and reservoir.
ASTOUNDING STORAGE
With the Lian Li V3000 Plus, there is support for an astounding number of storage drives. Behind the motherboard tray are four locations to mount 2.5″ SSDs, which can easily be installed or removed thanks to the tool-free mount design. In addition to this, a further four 2.5″ SSDs can be placed next to the motherboard. Finally, the PSU shroud has two drive cages that can accommodate up to four 3.5″ HDDs or four 2.5″ SSDs, each. In total, that is capacity for up to sixteen drives!
As a versatile case, the Lian Li V3000 Plus has alternative positioning options for certain storage drives. For starters, the two drive cages can be mounted individually within the PSU shroud, allowing you to better accommodate for larger hardware if needed. What’s more, these drive cages can be stacked and used to replace the SSD mounting tray next to the motherboard, which is easily removed. Additionally, the V3000 Plus is compatible with Lian Li Hot Swap Drive Modules (sold separately), which enable the removal and replacement of hard drives without unplugging any cables.
FINISHING TOUCHES
The Lian Li V3000 Plus Full Tower PC Case features two full I/O panels on the top of the chassis, allowing you to independently control the systems installed within. These are denoted by the “S1” and “S2” above the power and reset buttons. Each I/O also contains two USB 2.0, a USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio and microphone jack.
To the right of these ports, there are buttons to control the RGB lighting. The front panel is accented by a thin, subtle LED strip, offsetting the classic black aesthetic. Colours and effects are set utilising the “C” and “M” buttons, respectively. Alternatively, this strip can be synchronised with your motherboard software for a unified lighting display. With beautiful attention to detail, under the LED strip is a small projector module, which shines the Lian Li logo on the surface below. This can be switched on or off via the button located under the front panel, towards the lefthand side.
